How we handle your personal data.

In short
We collect what you give us when you fill in a form on this website. We use it to reply to your enquiry, build your quote, and follow up about your project. We don’t sell it. We don’t share it with anyone outside Scrripta unless you explicitly ask us to. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
What we collect
When you submit a form on this site (contact, quote, free tools), we collect:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Your business name and city (where applicable)
- Any free-text you write into form messages
- Your IP address and the page you submitted from (for spam protection)
- Timestamps of your activity on the form
If you choose to send us files (logos, photos, documents) by email or WhatsApp, we store those alongside your enquiry.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry within one business day
- To build a written quote for your project
- To follow up about your project if you haven’t replied to us
- To issue GST tax invoices once you become a customer
- To send transactional communications (kickoff, mockup, launch, renewal)
We do not add you to marketing newsletters without explicit consent. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Where it’s stored
All form submissions are stored on servers physically located in India and operated by us directly (not on third-party SaaS lead-capture services). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted to senior staff who handle your project.
Who else sees it
We use a small set of third-party tools to operate our business:
- Google Analytics — aggregated traffic data, no personally-identifiable enquiry data is sent here
- Email provider — for sending you replies and quotes (no marketing automation)
- WhatsApp Business — if you message us, the conversation is stored by Meta as per their privacy terms
- Razorpay — when you make a payment, Razorpay handles card / UPI / netbanking details directly. We never see or store your card details.
How long we keep it
- Active enquiries: until the project is complete + 12 months for support
- Lost / not-converted enquiries: 24 months, then deleted
- Active customers: for the duration of our relationship + as required by Indian tax law (GST records: 6 years)
Your rights under DPDP Act 2023
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you the following rights regarding personal data we hold about you:
- Right to access: Ask us what data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Right to erasure: Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements like GST invoices).
- Right to grievance redressal: If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, email us — we’ll respond within 7 days.

Cookies
We use the bare minimum of cookies:
- A session cookie if you submit a form (to prevent double-submission)
- Google Analytics cookies (anonymised IP, aggregate traffic only)
No advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no Facebook tracking.
