The rules of working with us.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of scrripta.com and any engagement with Scrripta for website, hosting, or software development services in India. By using this website or engaging us for work, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and acceptance

Quotes we send are valid for 14 days from the date issued. A quote becomes a binding contract when you accept it — either by replying “accepted” in writing (email, WhatsApp message), by paying the deposit, or by signing the printed quote. The scope, price, timeline, and other terms stated in the accepted quote take precedence over any general terms here.

3. Payment

Standard payment terms unless your quote states otherwise:

• 50% deposit on quote acceptance
• 50% on delivery (site live and approved)

Payments accepted via UPI, NEFT, IMPS, or cheque. All prices exclusive of GST (currently 18%). A GST tax invoice is issued with every payment received.

4. Timeline

Project timelines stated in the quote start from the day you provide all required content (text, photos, logo, credentials). If we deliver later than committed by more than 2 working days, you are entitled to the refund stated in our refund policy.

If you delay providing content or feedback by more than 14 days, the timeline pauses until you respond. Project may be marked stalled or cancelled after 60 days of inactivity from your side.

5. Scope and changes

The scope of work is as described in your accepted quote. Changes outside that scope are quoted separately as additional work, agreed in writing before being started. Small content edits (text changes, photo swaps, hour updates) within the original scope are included in the post-launch support window.

6. Ownership

On final payment, you own:

• The domain (registered in your name from day one)
• The source code of your website (custom code is yours; open-source frameworks remain under their own licences)
• All content you provided (text, images, video)
• The hosting account (in your name, you can transfer or cancel at any time)

We retain the right to mention the project in our portfolio and case studies, anonymised by default unless you specifically permit identification.

7. Hosting and care plans

Hosting and care plans are billed monthly or annually as agreed. Cancellation requires 30 days’ written notice. Refunds for unused months are pro-rated. Domain renewals are charged at our standard rate at the time of renewal.

8. Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the amount you have paid us for that specific project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (loss of business, loss of profit, loss of goodwill) arising from website downtime, data loss, or third-party service failures.

We make commercially reasonable efforts to back up your data daily, but you remain responsible for keeping your own copy of critical business data.

9. Confidentiality

Any non-public information you share with us during the engagement (business plans, customer lists, internal pricing, source code) is treated as confidential. We do not disclose it to third parties without your written permission.

10. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Indian law. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in our registered office city.
